Lions Battle to the Final Whistle in Tough 44–37 Loss

The Columbus Lions left it all on the field in a thrilling, high-scoring showdown but came up just short in a 44–37 loss to the Beaumont Renegades.

Marco Lee led the ground game with 53 yards and 3 rushing touchdowns, while Marcus Brooks threw for 108 yards and 2 scores, connecting with Jarmon Fortson and Tremell Gooden.

On defense, Zack Brown delivered a standout performance with 2 sacks and a fumble recovery, and James Gray paced the unit with 6 tackles. Ben Smiley brought the spark on special teams, returning 4 kicks for 79 yards, including a 33-yard burst.
