September 7, 2018 (COLUMBUS, GA)- The Columbus Lions indoor professional football team of the National Arena League is proud to announce a newly formed alliance with Sports Reality Performance Training Facility as a regional testing and training site for prospective players.  Sport Reality is a state of the art indoor sports facility featuring two side by side arena size turf football fields, a 50 meter track with dual sprint lanes, and a platinum level Hammer Strength weight room.  The facility is located in the greater Richmond area and serves amateur and professional athletes throughout the mid-Atlantic region.

“Not only is Sports Reality an absolutely amazing facility, the leadership of the facility has strong ties to Arena Football with the GM and President both being involved in the sport for many years,” said Head Coach, Jason Gibson.  “This will serve as a convenient location as it is centrally located on the east coast for prospective players to test in front of qualified scouts.”
General Manager of Sports Reality, Jeff Gonos stated, “We are very selective in the groups we consider to use the facility.  Jason and Lions check every box in terms of running a successful and professional organization that puts out a first class product year in and year out.”
The Lions will host their first tryout on Sunday December 2 from 1-4pm at Sports Reality.  All players must fill out a questionnaire and go through an initial screening process by the personnel department before official invitations are sent.  The evaluation fee for the tryout is $100.00 and is refundable upon a player being placed on the Lions 2019 active roster. Players can fill out a questionnaire online at www.columbuslions.net.
In addition to the tryout, players may schedule outside evaluations at Sports Reality by contacting Jeff Gonos at 804-730-6420 or by email at jeff.gonos@gosportsreality.com.
